About the event

UK premiere screening of film SOLD CITY Part 2 how housing has become a commodity, pushing people out of the centre of cities and changing the urban landscape, to the detriment of the majority of people who just want a decent and affordable place to live. Looking at Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna, London and Singapore.


The screening of SOLD CITY will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with the audience. Panellists are:


Dr Charlie Berry is a Policy Manager at Shelter, leading their policy work on the private rented sector. Shelter is currently campaigning to strengthen the Renters’ Rights Bill, which promises the biggest reforms to the private rented sector in over 30 years. Prior to joining Shelter, Charlie was an academic researcher in the field of social history.


Paul Watt is Visiting Professor in the Department of Sociology at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has published…
